Cleaning Your Jacuzzi Regularly

‍It doesn’t take that long but spending the time making sure your bath is perfectly clean will promote peace of mind and luxurious bathing. We recommend carrying out the following cleaning routine monthly:

• Remove excess waste from the bath first, such as hair or soap scum. Then fill with hot water, allowing a few extra inches so the jets are totally immersed. For a natural cleaning solution, add 2 cups of white vinegar to the water. You can, of course, opt for commercial cleaning products instead.
• Run the jets at their highest level for 15 minutes or until debris has stopped pumping out of the internal plumbing.
• Drain the water and wipe away the excess dirt from the surface. Our property maintenance team and bathroom fitters at Complete Carpentry & Maintenance Services suggest repeating the whole process of filling the bath and running the jets again. This will thoroughly clean the plumbing.
• We then recommend a decent bathroom cleaner, or baking soda if you’re a fan of natural products, for scrubbing the bath’s surface entirely. Use a soft cloth rather than a scouring pad to ensure you don’t damage the acrylic as you go.
• For the jets’ surrounds, clean away the black flakes with an old toothbrush. Dental floss is perfect if you want to get in behind the nozzles as well. By the way, it’s not mould – the black flakes are remnants of bathing products and skin.
• A thorough rinse, one more wipe and a final spray of warm water will leave your jacuzzi bath ready for the next time you fancy a soak at your Horsham or Crawley home.
